Yolanda Ríos

Yolanda Ríos Coello is a Doctor in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo and a graduate in Fine Arts from the same University. Currently, she works as a plastic artist and college professor.
As a researcher and artist, she approaches the analysis of the notion of public space/private space and its transformation in art and society, both being influenced by new technologies of information and communication. Her sculptural language is based on architecture, part of her artistic creation aims to the private sphere, analyzed from the perspective of domestic dimension, the house as a haven, a place that conditions and builds the people who inhabit it.
She has received various academic and artistic awards and has participated in numerous individual and collective exhibitions nationally and internationally.

Layouts, transits and citadels

CITADELS is made up, on the one hand, by the exhibition Layouts, Transits and Citadels in which artists from all over the world present their vision of the urban and the common space and, on the other, by three single-channel sessions, in focused on the work of four of these artists, delving into their individual speeches, whose investigation draws from the social, the poetic and the intimate.
