Stories as Builders
txt
To what extent do we know the narratives that permeate the spaces we inhabit, and to what extent do these narratives – sometimes inherited, sometimes created – allow us to redirect our gaze, put the focus of attention on something that went unnoticed? Are they authoritarian or liberating? The power of the story is the power of construction. Whoever builds delimits what exists or, at least, balances it in its favor. The story travels and is traveled, it directs, hides and shows.
In The Stories as Constructors Clara Aparicio and Susanne Wiegner generate, through animation, stories based on stories and stories that question stories. Both artists produce surreal experiences from a critical and lucid consciousness, they mold scenarios that allow the viewer to carefully observe, integrate into them while walking through them and deciphering them. These are usually places of transit, landscapes, cities or rooms emptied as models to turn them into dreamlike puzzles of everyday objects and constructions. Thus, a dialogue and collaboration are established between the works of Susanne and Clara, drawing our attention to injustice and indifference, but also to the power of representation./span>

Layouts, transits and citadels
CITADELS is made up, on the one hand, by the exhibition Layouts, Transits and Citadels in which artists from all over the world present their vision of the urban and the common space and, on the other, by three single-channel sessions, in focused on the work of four of these artists, delving into their individual speeches, whose investigation draws from the social, the poetic and the intimate.
