Sabrina Ratté

Going back, going back to what has already been done to retake it, transform it, project onto it a new dimension, this time surreal, in continuous change. Sabrina Ratté’s work rescues structures, movements, styles and materials, to turn them into ideal settings, full of silence. She decontextualizes them and isolates them, and in their solitude they transform into places hostile and welcoming, exterior and interior, intimate at the same time, too alive for anyone to inhabit them.
Sinuous patterns intertwine on walls, columns, and furniture, in a continuous dialogue between the organic and the inorganic. Sabrina Ratté’s work is continually dichotomous. In it, the real and the fictitious coexist, promoting an aesthetic, historical and, nevertheless, improbable fable, as new and spontaneous as the occurrences of the unconscious, which use a saturation of suggestions and ambiguities.

Layouts, transits and citadels

CITADELS is made up, on the one hand, by the exhibition Layouts, Transits and Citadels in which artists from all over the world present their vision of the urban and the common space and, on the other, by three single-channel sessions, in focused on the work of four of these artists, delving into their individual speeches, whose investigation draws from the social, the poetic and the intimate.
