“Mon Cano (Madrid, 1996) is a designer and multidisciplinary artist whose practice understands the material and the technological as a cultural fossil with the capacity to pervert contemporary narratives. He recently completed a residency at the Museo de Tenerife Espacio de Artes (TEA) for the group exhibition Colapso. In 2022, he started the research project Xenoimage Dataset at Medialab Matadero. Previously, he made the video installation Azul Subsuelo at CC Las Cigarreras.
As a founding member of the collectives La Cuarta Piel and Martillo Neumático, he develops lines of research between the territory, its ecosystems and citizens through urban interventions. His works such as Spa Profundo have been part of the Festival Domingo de La Casa Encendida, or Cuerpo Gris en la Noche en Blanco de Bilbao Gau Zuria 2022.”
