Lucía Perdiz

Lucía Perdiz (Muiños-Ourense, 1988) worked for several years as a special effects technician participating in numerous film shoots, in national and international productions. She studied sculpture at the Mestre Mateo School (Santiago de Compostela). From that moment on, she began her career as an artist participating in competitions and projects, such as the one that led to the installation of the piece Itinere in the public park of Belvís in Santiago de Compostela. She furthered her training in the United Kingdom, specialising in ceramics. A recent graduate in Fine Arts from the Faculty of Pontevedra, in her work she works from installation, sculpture and video, dealing with concepts such as relocation, conflict and otherness.
