Lucía Montero

Lucía Montero Sánchez de las Matas (Salamanca, 1988) is an artist and filmmaker based in San Sebastian. After studying visual arts, she moved to London to work with Nomad Projects, collaborating with artists such as Marcus Coates, Nathaniel Mellors or Lundhal&Seitl, gaining extensive experience in site-specific installations and collaborative projects. At the same time, he has been developing his artistic practice on an individual level until 2020, when he joined the postgraduate course in Film Creation at the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola and began making his first film. She has exhibited in festivals and exhibitions such as Visions in the Nunnery (London), Working Title Festival (Brussels), The land we live in-The land we left behind (Hauser & Wirth gallery. Somerset), Jornadas de Reapropiación (Mexico DF), ArtNit Campos (Balearic Islands), En los límites, el tiempo del cinematógrafo (Fundación La Posta. Valencia), The Day of the Dead Festival (London) or femCode (Valencia).
