Eva Díez

“The work of Eva Díez (Vigo, 1982) contains a powerful poetic component centred on the interpretation of landscape as both a natural and emotional space. Expressed through the lens of photography or the moving image, her proposals display a controlled mise-en-scène where light, process, the relationship with the environment and its link with the idea of sustainability are key. Full of symbolism, his work reveals interests in which the intimate is situated in relation to the world and explores its intricacies through a restrained visual vocabulary; powerful compositions capable of hovering between the everyday and the mysterious.

Her work can be found in private collections in Spain and Portugal and in public collections such as the CGAC, Centro Galego de Arte Contemporánea and the Vigo City Council Photographic Collection. She has exhibited in museums, fairs and national and international contemporary art galleries, including recent exhibitions such as CRUZAMENTOS na arte galega da Colección CGAC (CGAC, 2022) or the Photography Prize ENAIRE Foundation 2021 (Royal Botanical Garden of Madrid). Her work has received awards such as the Premio de Fotografía Joven Fundación ENAIRE (2020); the Premio Fundación Pilar Citoler al joven coleccionista de JustMad Art Fair (2018); the Premio Galicia de Fotografía Contemporánea (2015) or the Premio Art Photo Bcn (2015).”
