Emilio Fonseca Martín (Ourense, 1978) is an audiovisual producer and cartoonist. Co-founder of the production company Walkie Talkie Films (2008), specialising in auteur documentaries and experimental cinema. He has worked on videos, animations, illustrations, websites, data visualisation, educational resources and research articles, often on topics related to the environment and eco-social conflicts. He is the author of the documentary for TVG Queimar o Monte (2012), about the causes of fires in Galicia. He co-directed with Xiana do Teixeiro the documentary essays Somos Plaga and Soy Muro, for the cycle of thought and art “Soy Cámara”, at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB), and co-produced and co-directed the TV documentary series “Tallers Sonors” (2008-11) for the Local Television Network of Catalonia. Author of the comics Fóra de Mapa, winner of the 2016 Castelao Prize for the Deseñada Band, and Verde Invisible, as part of the Spanish cooperation project Chaco Ra’anga (2016-2018).
