Juries International & Galicia

Katrin Mundt is curator, author and co-director of the European Media Art Festival (EMAF), Osnabrück. She has curated film programmes and exhibitions for Videonale Bonn, Württ. Kunstverein Stuttgart, HMKV Dortmund, PACT Zollverein, Essen, Museum Wiesbaden, Matadero, Madrid and 25FPS, Zagreb. She was the programmer for the Oberhausen Short Film Festival, Kasseler Dokfest, and Duisburger Filmwoche, among others. She has given lectures and workshops at Goldsmiths College, London, the Academy of Media Arts, Cologne, Werkleitz, the Academy of the Arts of the World, Cologne and the Braunschweig Academy of Art. She writes regularly on moving image artists, with a particular focus on intersections with documentary and performance practices.

Miguel Dias is director and programmer of the Vila do Conde International Short Film Festival. He is also director of the Portuguese Short Film Agency for the promotion and international distribution of Portuguese short films. He was producer and organiser at the film, audiovisual and multimedia department of “Porto 2001, European Capital of Culture”, and of the “Odisseia Nas Imagens” (Odyssey in Images) festival, at the Passos Manuel cinema in Porto and at the Solar film art gallery in Vila do Conde. He has been an event manager at Estaleiro and Campus, has produced several short films and has been responsible for organising several film cycles in Portugal and abroad. He is the founder of the Cineclub de Vila do Conde, member of the board of directors and responsible for the programme from 1991 to 1996. He has also been a member of the board of the Portuguese Federation of Cineclubs and a member of the jury at several international film festivals.

María Morata is an independent curator and researcher. She is a guest lecturer at several universities and educational structures in the audiovisual and artistic fields. She curates films and visual arts exhibitions for museums and art institutions such as Arsenal- Institute for Film und Videoart in Berlin, CCCB, MACBA and Centre Arts Santa Mónica in Barcelona, Intermediae-Matadero and La Casa Encendida in Madrid, Sterischer Herbst in Graz, Impakt Center in Utrecht and Centre del Carme Cultura Contemporània in Valencia among others. She has published in numerous catalogues and specialised magazines. She is a speaker and lecturer at academic symposia, museums and art spaces. Her research explores the relationship of technology and human and non-human agents in the context of anthropocentric critique. She lives and works between Berlin and Madrid.
