Acacia Ojea

With classical musical training, Acacia Ojea (Vigo, 1994) graduated in Fine Arts in 2017. She works in the cultural sector in cities such as Marseille (Fr) and Porto (Pt) within the field of living arts and cinema and settles in Madrid where she did her postgraduate studies in Contemporary Audiovisual Creation at Master LAV. This last year she finished the master’s degree in Electroacoustic Composition and New Media at the Centro Superior de Enseñanzas Musicales KG in Madrid while she continues with her djing and research project within experimental electronics and deconstructed music. Her artistic research revolves around film language, sound creation and semiotic networks typical of the digital context. Acacia has been a young jury of festivals such as the Punto de Vista de Pamplona (2020) or the Curtocircuíto de Compostela (2021) and some of her works have been selected in artistic exhibitions such as the Novos Valores de Pontevedra contest (2017), in the DOCMA Cycle of the Cineteca del Matadero de Madrid (2021) or on the radio of the Centro de Arte Sonoro de Buenos Aires (2021).

For the Galician section of the festival, we are committed to a heterogeneous selection in terms of styles, formats and profiles, pursuing the traces of a cartography of the inhabited that is projected from the digital, the dystopian, the intimate, the physical and the cultural.
