Lúa Gándara

Lúa Gándara (O Porriño, 1988) is a multidisciplinary artist graduated in Fine Arts from the University of Vigo, with a postgraduate degree in Sound Creation from the University of Barcelona and a master’s degree in Teaching in Secondary Education in the specialty of Arts and Drawing.
Her plastic work was selected in various competitions such as the 15th MAC show, the Naturgy Foundation Museum of Contemporary Art, the 2016 Artists Award from Alto Minho e Galiza from the Fundaçao Bienal de Cerveira, the VIII Prize for Novos Artistas Auditorio de Galicia or the X Biennial International Pintor Laxeiro, among others. She won the First Prize “Novos Luso-Galician talents” at the IX Biennial of Painting Eixo Atlántico Prize and the third prize for poetry at the Xuventude Crea 2014 contest.
Her painting and her character live between poetry and performance, always with a lot of humor.

Contemporánea

The Contemporánea section presents a small sample of pieces by the artists Narelle Jubelin, Lúa Gándara and Rodrigo Méndez proposed by three of the galleries that make up the Galician Association of Contemporary Art Galleries: Nordés, Metro and Vilaseco.
